Indiana was the dog's name.

That man is Semir Osmanagic. He's standing on what he believes is the first step pyramid ever discovered in Europe. He thinks this hlll:

is it.
The evidence is still coming in, but it looks to be developing into a fairly convincing case.

But seriously, Semir, nice outfit.

Also, the "file photo" at China's ever lovely Xinhua Online is just super bad ass:

Mayor of Toontown

Kimberly Willliamson Butler isn't from New Orleans, but Buffalo.
She has, however, spent seven years in New Orleans. And wants to be the mayor of New Orleans.

All fine and good.

But she's photoshopped herself (or more likely, her publicity agency has photoshopped her) in front of New Orleans Square.
Disneyland.

New Orleans may indeed be rebuilt as a theme park.

UPDATE: Apparently I'm late to the party. Matt pointed out that boing boing already covered this on Thursday. The best link from BB?

Blow Up

Another nifty application of LEDs, The Ballon Lamp from kyouei ltd.:

2,900 yen
They are a lamp which is made with a balloon and LED.The LED has no generation off power like other lights, such as incandescent lamps. And it has high illumination, long lifetime and is energy-saving. And it is also possible to use it continuously over 100 hours by using the lithium-coin battery.
